Private practice emphasizing land use, environmental and real property litigation and appeals on behalf of statewide, countywide and neighborhood organizations, citizens groups, Tribes, individual property owners, and small businesses. Extensive experience with Washington's State Environmental Policy Act, Growth Management Act, Shoreline Management Act, Land Use Petition Act, Local zoning and permitting processes as well as federal and state air and water quality laws. Representative clients include: Okanogan Highlands Alliance, Washington Environmental Council, Preserve Our Islands, Ground Zero Center for Non-Violent Action, Wenas Citizens Association, Friends of Magnuson Park, Puget Sound Harvesters and Buchanan Family Farms.

Community Service

Northwest Fund for the Environment; Board member, 2001 to present; President of the Board, 2006 to present. The Northwest Fund for the Environment is charitable foundation supporting environmental activists and organizations in Washington and Oregon.

Washington Environmental Council; Board member, 1994-2000; President of the Board, 1996-2000; Currently active member of WEC Legal Committee. WEC is one of the largest and oldest environmental organizations in Washington.

Marymoor Velodrome Association; Board member, 2002 to 2007; Currently race director for annual FSA Grand Prix. MVA is a non-profit organization responsible for operations of the oldest operating bicycling velodrome (racing track) in the northwest.
